Relativamente aos benefícios fiscais a empresas e entidades o Fisco concedeu em 2016 isenções e benefícios fiscais a 35 mil empresas e entidades num total de 2.400 milhões de euros. Face ao ano de 2015 o valor aumentou cerca de 600 milhões.
As isenções e benefícios são disponibilizadas as entidades e dizem respeito a vários impostos, tal como: IRC, IMI, IMT ou IVA.
Os benefícios fiscais são as isenções, as reduções de taxas, as deduções à matéria coletável e à coleta, e outras medidas fiscais de carácter excecional instituídas para tutela dos interesses públicos extrafiscais.
